ALKING STICK LEARNING MODEL COMPARISON AND TAKE AND GIVE ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES ON NATURAL RESOURCES IPS MATERIALS IN CLASS IV Siem State Elementary School

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of the talking stick and take and give learning models of student learning outcomes on natural resources social studies material in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Siem. The approach in research uses a quantitative approach, in the form of experimental research. The subjects used in this study were 16 students who were given test questions. The questions used are in the form of multiple choice questions with the subject of natural resources and their use. Data collection techniques in the form of giving tests to students, namely pre-test and post-test. The data processing technique was carried out by t-test. The results of research data processing obtained count .58 < t table 1.75 which means that according to the test criteria H0 is rejected at a significant level = 0.5,. Thus, researchers can conclude that there is no significant difference between student learning outcomes taught by the talking stick model and the take and give model in grade IV A SD Negeri Siem. The average score of group A students, who were taught using the talking stick model on the pre-test questions was higher, namely 55.75, compared to group B students in the take and give model, which was 44.88. Likewise, the students' average score on the post-test questions taught with the talking stick model was higher, namely 85.31, while the take and give model was 79. This happens because during the learning process, there are some students who lack focus and are not accustomed to learning by using the take and give model, so that the material presented cannot be fully understood. Thus, students cannot solve problems properly and correctly, causing low learning outcomes.Keywords: comparison, talking stick, take and give, learning outcomes
