Abstrak

               The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the picture guessing game in improving speaking skills in children aged 5-6 years at Al-Husna Kindergarten, Krueng Kluet Village, District. South Aceh. This research uses a quantitative type of research with an experimental one group pre-test post-test design method. A sample of 15 children collected data through observation and data analysis using statistics. Data collected through observation sheets and documentation. The research results found that the Guess the Picture Game was effective in improving children's speaking abilities. This is proven by the average value of the pre-test activity results obtained at 6.618 and the post-test obtained at 8.573. The results of this research indicate that the Guess the Picture Game can improve children's speaking skills, which is aimed at the results of the ttable hypothesis which can be calculated using the decision making criteria, the t value is -42,560 and the significant value (2-tailed) is ≤ 0.001 with the df value obtained from 15-1=14 , the ttable value obtained is 1.761. So it can be concluded that if the tcount ≥ ttable = (42,560 ≥ 1.761) then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so it can be concluded "there is significant effectiveness between the Guess the Picture game in improving the speaking ability of children aged 5-6 year at Al-Husna Kindergarten.
