Abstract

This research aims to find out how to use the problem based learning (PBL) model in improving learning outcomes for class V students at SD Negeri 2 Indrapuri in science learning subtheme 1 ecosystem material. To find out whether the problem based learning (PBL) model has an effect on improving learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Indrapuri in science learning subtheme 1 ecosystem material. This type of research is experimental research because the symptoms caused are treated deliberately by the researcher. The type of experiment used is pre-experiment with a design, namely one-group pretest-posttest. Based on the results of research that has been carried out and based on data processing, it can be concluded that the application of the problem based learning model is effective in improving learning outcomes in class V students at SD Negeri 2 Indrapuri Aceh Besar, that tcount > ttable, namely 36.89 > 2.14 so that the hypothesis in this research is accepted.
