Abstract

The ability of students in analyzing the structure and language of anecdotal texts of class X IPS1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam Aceh Besar is still low or below the established completeness criteria. Efforts to increase student completeness are carried out by applying the think talk write learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), the research subjects are 29 students, the data is collected through test techniques, observation and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the percentage formula and described in simple sentences to describe the results of each cycle. The results showed that (1) the ability of students to analyze the structure of anecdotal texts in the pre-cycle was 31% complete, in cycle I was 45% complete and increased to 83%. The ability of students to analyze the language of anecdotal texts in the pre-cycle was 31% which was completed, in the first cycle as much as 48% increased to 86% in the second cycle as well as achieving the specified success indicators. (2) The teacher's activity in managing learning analyzes the structure and language of anecdotal texts. The structure and language of anecdotal texts in cycle I was included in the good category with a score of 78 and increased to very good in cycle II with a value of 94. Furthermore, student activity in cycle I was included in the moderate category. with a value of 69 increased to good in cycle II with a value of 84.
