POLA ASUH ORANG TUA TERHADAP KEMANDIRIAN ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI GAMPONG KEDAI RUNDING KECAMATAN KLUET SELATAN KABUPATEN ACEH SELATAN

Abstract

Independence is usually characterized by the ability to determine one's own destiny, be creative, and take initiative, regulate behavior, be responsible, be able to restrain oneself, make their own decisions, and be able to solve problems without any influence from others. Children will be independent when starting from their families, this is what causes a person's level of independence to vary from one another. Factors that influence independence are parental heredity, parenting style, education system in school, life system in society. Parents who apply the wrong parenting pattern will have bad consequences for the mental development of children. From that explanation, the problems to be studied are described in the form of detailed research questions, namely how parenting patterns in developing children's independence in Gampong Kedai Runding, South Kluet District, South Aceh. The research method used is descriptive qualitative in the form of narrative, which is a method that aims to focus on discussing and making a systematic, factual and accurate description of the facts, nature, relationships between phenomena that are investigated objectively. The results showed that parenting in developing children's independence in Gampong Kedai Runding, South Kluet District, South Aceh used two parenting styles, namely authoritarian parenting and democratic parenting. From this parenting pattern, on average, children have independence including being able to control themselves properly, knowing their rights, growing trust in the right adults and have begun to be able to use their minds to solve problems. Children have not been able to obey the rules, are responsible for their behavior for their own good and are able to show an attitude of tolerance.
