UPAYA MENINGKATKAN TINGKAT DISIPLIN MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER PRAMUKA PADA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP N 18 BANDA ACEH

Abstract

Character is defined as a way of thinking and behaving that is unique to each individual to live and work together. Formulate the problem that is the focus of this research is "How are efforts to build the disciplinary character of students through Scout extracurricular activities in Class VIII Students of SMP N 18 Banda Aceh?". The purpose of the study describes efforts to build the disciplinary character of students through extracurricular activities for scouting students in class VIII of SMP N 18 Banda Aceh. This study used the classroom action research (PTK) method. which became 20 students with sampling techniques, namely Total sampling. The results of the increase in extracurricular activities of scouts cycle I in the table above can be seen that there is an increase in discipline in scout extracurricular activities, namely at the first, second and third meetings. In extracurricular activities, scouts are observed from the Earnestness of complying with the rules in schools an increase of 55% in the Very appropriate category (SS), as well as by 45% an increase in the Corresponding category (S), which has a Non-conforming category (TS) of 0%, and by 0%, a Very inappropriate category (STS). In extracurricular activities scouts were observed from Having a mental attitude (obedient and orderly) in schools an increase of 50% in the Very appropriate category (SS), as well as by 50% an increase in the Corresponding category (S), which had a Non-conforming category (TS) of 0%, and by 0%, a Very inappropriate category (STS). In extracurricular activities scouts are observed from Earnestness in complying with the rules in the school an increase of 45% in the Very appropriate category (SS), as well as by 55% an increase in the Corresponding category (S), which has a Non-conforming category (TS) of 0%, and by 0%, a Very inappropriate category (STS).
