Abstract

This study aims to determine the readiness of teachers to apply STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) to Kindergarten/PAUD teachers in Leupung District, Aceh Besar District, besides that this study also aims to determine the level of teacher readiness and the supporting and barriers to STEAM learning. qualitative descriptive research method, using interview techniques. The sample of this research is 12 educators, 2 educators per school and 6 kindergarten/PAUD schools. The results of the interview with educators stated that they had carried out STEAM learning activities. to increase knowledge, child development. Add insight, knowledge about STEAM. Setting up the playing environment. Using the methods of conversation, projects, democracy, storytelling, assignment, role playing, experimentation. Planning the implementation of STEAM learning. Connected learning makes rules, learning tools. Supporting factors are collaboration with parents, mutual coordination, materials and tools. The inhibiting factors are the lack of available protected land, the participation of parents is still low, the internet is difficult to access, and the facilities are not available. The school supports such as providing facilities.
