HUBUNGAN KEKUATAN OTOT LENGAN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN SERVIS ATAS BOLA VOLI PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 1 BLANGKEJEREN

Abstract

Volleyball is a sport that is no stranger to society. Volleyball is a team or group game, each team consists of six players. Basic volleyball skills such as serving, passing and smashing are part of the basic volleyball skills that a volleyball player needs to have. Based on the author's observations in the field, and information from several teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Blangkejeren who teach the basic subjects of volleyball, there are still many students of SMA Negeri 1 Blangkejeren who are less able to serve on the basic subjects of volleyball. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between upper arm muscle strength and upper service results in class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Blangkejeren in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a descriptive type of research that uses a quantitative approach method. The population in this study were all male students of class XII SMA Negeri 1 Blangkejeren, the academic year 2022/2023, totaling 30 students participating in volleyball extracurricular activities. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people who were taken using a total sampling technique. The data collection technique was carried out using tests and measurements of the components of arm muscle strength and a service ability test for volleyball. The data analysis technique used was carried out using a simple statistical analysis technique using a one-way regression approach. The results of the research and data processing showed that there was a significant relationship between the research variables measured, namely between arm muscle strength as variable X and service ability on volleyball as variable Y with a correlation coefficient value of 0.972 at a 95% confidence level with an r-table of 0.374 . The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant relationship between arm muscle strength and service ability on volleyball in Extracurricular Volleyball students at SMA Negeri 1 Belangkejeren, Gayo Lues Regency in 2022.
