Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the macro role playing method is effective in stimulating the socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6 years at Al-Kawanad Kindergarten Banda Aceh. This type of research is a quantitative approach with the type of research that is experimental in the form of pretest-posttest control. Data collection techniques using observation sheets and documentation and data processing using simple statistical formulas. The subject of this research is TK B class with 15 students consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls in the 2021/2022 school year. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out and based on data processing, it can be concluded that the average value of the Pretest of the experimental class = 38.4 and the control class = 17.85 while the average value of the Posttest of the experimental class = 49.4 and the control class = 23 ,75. In testing the hypothesis using the t-test, the values ​​obtained for tcount = 5.428 and ttable = 2,048, this indicates that tcount > ttable. Based on the results of the decision, Ha accepted, and Ho was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the macro role playing method can stimulate the socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6 years in Al-Kawanad Kindergarten Banda Aceh.
