PENGARUH TEMPLATE MATCHING CORRELATION TERHADAP TUNANETRA DALAM MENGENAL UANG KERTAS RUPIAH DI KOTA BANDA ACEH

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of template matching correlation on the blind in recognizing rupiah paper currency in Banda Aceh City. In this study, the method used is a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are by providing interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The total number of blind people in the Association of Blind Persons with Disabilities is 80 people and the sample in this study is 30 people because of those 30 people who are completely blind. And 50 others were recorded as people with mild visual impairment who could still see money even though it wasn't very clear. Money is an important means of payment in people's lives, including blind people, their limited vision is a problem in knowing the nominal value of money, especially paper money. So it is possible to be confused and also deceived when making buying and selling transactions. Determination of the object of research is determined by the type of blind people (blind, total blind and low vision light blind) based on the results of interviews, questionnaires and final tests. Based on the results of the research on the effect of template matching correlation on the blind in recognizing rupiah paper currency in Banda Aceh City, namely. 5% with Df = N-2=28, seen from table r, we get r_table=0.361. Then draw the conclusion of rejection of H_0 by comparing r_hitung with r_table, then the conclusion is H_0 is accepted because r_hitung < r_table (0.137731467 < 0.361) meaning that there is no effect of using template matching correlation on the blind in recognizing paper currency.
