Abstract

Based on interviews and the results of information obtained by researchers show that there is no media in the form of a miniature media environment that is used as a healthy learning medium. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of a healthy miniature environment as a learning medium for fifth grade elementary school students on the sub themes of humans and the environment. Miniature is an environment that is one of the media that can be used as a channel for delivering messages from the teacher to students in the learning process. The development model used in this study is the Four-D Model (4D) development model, which is define, design , develop, and disseminate. The subjects in this study were fifth grade elementary school students, amounting to 5 people. This research was conducted in elementary schools which are schools where product trials were carried out. Data collection techniques were using expert validation sheets and student questionnaire responses at the trial stage. The results showed that the assessment of expert validators obtained an average percentage of 82.6% with the criteria that a miniature healthy environment was suitable for use as a learning medium. Based on trials conducted on 5 students obtained a percentage of 100%, which means that all students are interested in using a miniature healthy environment as a medium for learning science theme 8 sub themes 1 human and environment.
