Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability to recognize letters by using letter card media in Group B at Ceria Hidayatullah Islamic Early Childhood Education, Aceh Besar. The type of research used by the researcher is classroom action research (CAR). Classroom action research is a form of research carried out by teachers in carrying out their main task, namely managing the implementation of teaching and learning activities (KBM) in a broad sense. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to recognize letters, namely in the Initial Condition by 6.7% (1 child), increasing in Cycle I to 60% (9 children), and in Cycle II reaching 80% (12 children) with an assessment of developing children. very good (BSB). This shows that the children of group B in PAUD Islam Ceria Hidayatullah Lhoknga Aceh Besar have achieved the ability to recognize letters as expected. Learning in improving the ability to recognize letters using letter card media is said to be successful.
