Abstract

Chidren’s ability to count will be achieved if the teacher is able to make efforts throught varios creative activities to support developing children’s ability to count. Teacher should know how to teach well to their student. When in the classroom, a teacher takes control of the activities that will be carried out while studying with his students. If the student;s response turns out to be happy learning with the teacher concerned, it can be ascertained that the theacher uses a good teaching method and does not watch. The formulation of the purpose of this research. To determine the evectivenes of the compotion based game of congklak on the numeracy skills  of third grade students of SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach where the form of numbers . the subject of this research were 25 elementary school third grade students. Data were collected. The result showed that before and after being given the application of a competion based game of congklak with a value of t=0,935>0.05, that is, the average numeracy ability of 3rd graders af SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh after being given the application of a competation. Based game of congklak was higher than the average. The ability or graders at SD Negeri 19 Bnada Aceh.after being given the application of a competition based gameof congklak whas higher than the average. The ability of 3rd graders at SD Negeri 19 Banda Aceh before being given the application based congklak game.
