Abstract

Evaluation is a systematic process to determine or make decisions, to what extent the objectives or programs have been achieved. So far, coaches rarely evaluate basic techniques at certain periods for the athletes of the Aceh Besar Kuntau College. This makes researchers interested in conducting research on "evaluating the level of basic skills of pencak silat in pencak silat athletes from the Kuntau Aceh Besar College". The research formula is: "How is the level of basic pencak silat technical skills in pencak silat athletes at the Kuntau Aceh Besar college?". This study aims to determine the level of basic technical skills of pencak silat in pencak silat athletes at the Kuntau Aceh Besar college. The research approach used in this research is quantitative with survey method. The population in this study were all athletes from the Kuntau Aceh Besar College, totaling 8 athletes. The sampling technique was total sampling, so the sample in this study were all athletes from the Kuntau Aceh Besar College, totaling 8 athletes. The data collection technique used is the pencak silat skill test. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the percentage. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the level of basic techniques of pencak silat in the pencak silat athletes of the Kuntau Aceh Besar college is very good category with a frequency of 0 athletes (0%), good category with a frequency of 3 athletes (37.5%), moderate category with a frequency of 3 athletes (37.5%), poor category with a frequency of 2 athletes (25%) and very poor category with a frequency of 0 students (0%). So it can be seen that the level of basic pencak silat technical skills in the pencak silat athletes at the Kuntau Aceh Besar college is in the "good" category with a percentage (37.5%).
