Abstract

The ability to recognize hijaiyah letters is an ability that looks simple, but this ability is very important for children to learn. At this stage, children will learn about the shapes and sounds of hijaiyah letters so that children know the shapes of hijaiyah letters and interpret them. The aims of this study are: 1) to determine the development of pop up book media to stimulate the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters for children in group B and 2) to determine the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters in group B at Al-Kawanad Kindergarten Banda Aceh by using pop up book media. This research approach is in the form of qualitative research using descriptive method. The method used is content analysis or conclusion drawing/verification. the instrument used is the presentation of the data by the researcher himself, to maintain the validity of the data. Based on the analysis carried out that the development of the pop-up book media obtained a suitable category for use with an average score of 4 and the development of students' abilities to use the pop-up book media in the Very Well Developed (BSH) category with an average score of 4 so that the media Pop-up books can be used as a medium for learning the introduction of hijaiyah letters
