Abstract

Students' interest in learning is one of the most important indicators to pay attention to so that learning activities can run well and smoothly. The problem of student interest in taking PJOK lessons at MIN 12 Bireuen cannot be separated from the lack of precise learning models and approaches used in PJOK learning, therefore efforts are made to improve by modifying heating using games. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of warming modifications using games on students' interest in taking PJOK lessons at MIN 12 Bireuen. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, the sample in the study was 28 students, the data was collected through a questionnaire. The collected data was then analyzed using the mean difference test (t-test). The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' interest in taking PJOK lessons after a modification of the warm-up using games is indicated by the average pre-test score of 67.5 while the post-test score is 94.64. Students' interest in learning PJOK before warming up modification was 54%, after warming up modification using games, student interest increased to 75.71% or increased by 21.71%. The increase in students' interest in taking PJOK lessons was strengthened by testing the hypothesis that the price of tcount > ttable price (11.12 > 1.70). Thus, it can be concluded that the modification of the warm-up using small games has an effect on students' interest in taking PJOK lessons for class V MIN 12 Bireuen.
