Abstract

Speaking as a communication process, the process of changing the form of thoughts or feelings into the form of language sounds. Learning in improving speaking skills for children aged 5-6 years at PAUD IK Nurul Quran is taught by the method of telling stories about Islam through mock media so that it is very interesting for children. For this reason, the purpose of conducting research on mock media in order to determine whether or not the media has an effect on the speaking skills of the children. The subjects of this study amounted to 15 children, with data collection carried out through the value of observation sheets carried out with pretest and posttest experiments. hypothesis by using the right-hand side test with a significant level of = 0.05 and db (number distribution) n - 1 = 15 - 1 = 14, then the distribution list t with t(0.975) (14), in order to obtain t(0.975) ( 14) = 2.14 because tcount > ttable, which is 9.451 > 2.14. Thus, the hypothesis of this study is accepted, so the hypothesis in this study states that the use of mock media has an effect on improving children's speaking skills in PAUD IK Nurul Quran.
