Abstract

The introduction of science in early childhood has a very important role in helping to lay the foundation for the ability and formation of the expected human resources. Based on initial observations in TK Poeteumeureuhom Banda Aceh, the use of media in the surrounding environment is still very minimal and the ability to introduce science to children aged 5-6 years is still low. Therefore, the researchers chose colored sand to stimulate childrens science introduction.Formulation of the problem in this research, how is the effect of using colored sand on the introduction of science to children aged 5-6 years in TK Poeteumeureuhom. This research aims to determine the effect of the use of colored sand on the introduction of science to children aged 5-6 years in TK Poeteumeureuhom. This type of research is experimental research. The method used is one group pre-test-post-test design. Data collection techniques in this research using observation and documentation. Data analysis technique in this research uses the normality test and the t test. The results of this research, based on hypothesis testing using the right-hand side test with an alpha 5% = 0.05, then the distribution list t tcount > ttable = 3,72 > 1,75. Thus Ha is accepted, so the hypothesis inthus study states that the use of colored sand affects the introduction of science to children aged 5-6 years in TK Poeteumeureuhom Banda Aceh.
