Abstract

The ability to count needs to be introduced from an early age, where in the early stages the child must first be introduced to the concept of simple numbers. Related to this, the ability to count children in group B in TK Negeri 5 Banda Aceh has not developed optimally, so efforts are needed to overcome it. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the number block game on increasing the numeracy skills of children in group B-5 TK Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. The research sample was group B children, totaling 15 children. Data was collected through tests that were assessed through observation sheets. The instrument used in this data collection is an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using statistics. The results showed that the number block game could improve the numeracy skills of group B children as indicated by the results of hypothesis testing that tcount ttable, namely 19.56 1.76. So Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected at a significant level of 0.05% with db = 14. So that the number block game effectively improves the numeracy skills of group B children in TK Negeri 5 Banda Aceh and the results of this study are also supported by several other studies on the number block game.
