Abstract

NHT model is a cooperative model in which learning prioritizes cooperation and mutual help among group members in understanding the subject matter, which will increase student interest and learning outcomes. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the effect of the cooperative learning model of the NHT (numbered head together) type in increasing students' learning motivation in the "Humble Heart" material for grade 4 Rumpet Aceh Besar?. The purpose of the study was to determine the cooperative learning model of the NHT type (numbered heads together) so that it could increase students' learning motivation in the "Humble Heart" material for grade 4  Rumpet Aceh Besar. This research is classified into pre-experimental research, using pretest and posttest in 1 class group. The conclusion of this study is based on the decision criteria of 0.003 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that there is an effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the learning motivation of students at SDN class IV in the "Humble Heart" Sub Material and improve student learning outcomes, this is reinforced by a classical completeness level of 85% and with a classification level 5 or 25% of students have very high motivation, 9 or 45% of students have very moderate motivation, and 6 or 30% of students have very low motivation, based on this it is found that the average motivation students are in the medium category.
