Abstract

This study aims to find out how to develop Pop Up Book media to increase student learning motivation in grade III SD Negeri 69 Banda Aceh using Research and Development Methods or Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model, namely: Define stage, Design stage, Develop stage, and Disseminate stage. Students are still not able to understand the material given by the teacher during class learning. The data collection technique is a questionnaire (questionnaire) from valid sources and data. The subjects in this study were third grade students of SD Negeri 69 Banda Aceh with data collection instruments in the form of validation of the Pop Up Book media carried out by material experts, media experts to see the validity of the Pop Up Book media and giving questionnaires on indicators of student learning motivation. This research produces a product in the form of Pop Up Book media as teaching materials in the learning process. Based on the assessment of the validation results from 2 material expert lecturers and 2 learning media design experts, the overall average result was 3.56 with the criteria (Very Eligible). Based on the validation results, it can be concluded that the Pop Up Book media is declared valid and does not require a significant overhaul so that it is suitable for use as teaching materials in learning and based on the average results of the indicators of student learning motivation, the results are 3.27 in the Highly motivated category. Thus the Pop Up Book media can increase students' learning motivation.
