Abstract

Educational rankings in Aceh from all provinces in Indonesia are ranked 27. The Aceh Education Office has succeeded in raising the ranking of the results of the Computer-Based National Examination (UNBK) at the School level in Aceh in 2019. Aceh is ranked 27th from the previous 34th nationally. At 27th rank, Aceh Province is one level above Papua and still below Gorontalo and South Sulawesi in 25th and 26th position. This means that Education in Aceh is ranked 7th from the bottom and from 34 Provinces in Indonesia "Education Department Banda Aceh in Serambi News (2019)”. From the results of observations that have been made in several schools according to several sources from teachers, the value is still unsatisfactory or does not reach the KKM (70) which is expected in mathematics subjects, especially in the matter of calculating the subtraction of positive (+) and negative integers (-) . Including SD Negeri 15 Banda Aceh class VI which has been observed, students do not reach the predetermined Classical Completeness indicator (70). One of the efforts to improve students' numeracy skills is to develop cooperative learning strategies. In creating effective teaching and learning conditions there are several things that teachers must do, namely actively involve students, attract students' interest and think, generate student motivation, pay attention to students' abilities and use appropriate learning media. The main problem in this research is how the learning process can improve students' numeracy skills in reducing Positive (+) and Negative (-) integers in teaching and learning activities by using the right learning model, so that student achievement can continue to increase. The arrow roller media based on the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) model is expected to be one of the innovative and creative alternative models, especially if it includes a group game, to get the highest score with the help of a number line media called rolpan (arrow roller). the development of the dotted number line media that includes a game, because the students of SD Negeri 15 Banda Aceh still prefer to play rather than learn because mathematics according to students is the most boring subject. In a study that was conducted in class VI SDN 15 Banda Aceh, there was a significant increase in students' numeracy skills both in the realm of knowledge. This achievement can be seen from before the arrow roller media based on the TGT cooperative model, students got a low average score of 28.4%, while after using arrow roller media based on TGT students got an average score of 80%.
