Socio-emotional development is a child's sensitivity to understand the feelings of others when interacting in everyday life. There are several social emotional developments that need to be developed in early childhood. One of the ways to train emotional social skills is by using the role playing method. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to develop emotional social skills through the role playing method for children in Group B (Al-Kuddus) PAUD IK Nurul Quran Aceh Besar. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The instrument used was an observation sheet, the number of samples was 20 children, 12 girls, 8 boys, and the data were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results showed that in pre-cycle activities with all indicators there were a total percentage of 48% undeveloped (10 children), 26% (5 children), developing as expected 18% (3 children) and very well 8% (2 child). In the first cycle the number of undeveloped presentations was no longer visible, 1 child (5%), while developing as expected 13 children (64%) and very well developed 6 children (31%). In cycle II, the undeveloped category and starting to develop were no longer visible, the developing category as expected was 38% (8 children) and in the very well developed category it was 62% (12 children). Based on these data, it can be concluded that role playing activities can develop emotional social skills.
