Abstract

Beginning reading is the initial stage in learning to read which is focused on recognizing
symbols or signs related to letters so that it becomes the foundation so that children can
continue to the initial reading stage. The formulation of the problem sought in this study is:
is the flannel board media effective in improving early reading skills in early childhood in
group B1 at Khairani Lubok Batee Kindergarten, Aceh Besar. The purpose of this study is:
To find out about the effective realia media in improving early reading skills in early
childhood in group B1 at Khairani Lubok Batee Aceh Besar Kindergarten". This research is a
one-group type of research. Pretest-Postets design experimental research is a type of
research that has a control group, but cannot fully control the external variables that affect
the implementation of the experiment. Based on the results of the research that has been
carried out and based on data processing, it can be concluded that: The use of flannel board
media is effective in increasing early reading skills in children in group B1 TK Khairani
Lubok Batee Aceh Besar, that tcount > ttable, ie 6.5 > 2, 14 so that the hypothesis in this
study is accepted. Thus, Ha is accepted, so the hypothesis in this study states that the use of
flannel board media is effective in increasing early reading ability in group B children in
Poeteumeureuhom Banda Aceh.
