Abstract

Hijaiyah letters which are the basis for reading and memorizing and studying the
holy book Al-Qur'an from an early age are very important, because if at the time of
memorizing the hijaiyah letters you are used to the wrong words, it will lead to
different wrong meanings so that we are sued. to read and memorize properly and
correctly. The aims of this study are 1. To find out the description of parenting
patterns to improve the memorization of the hijaiyah letters. 2. To find out the
activities given by parents to develop memorization of hijaiyah letters. 3. To find
out the obstacles faced by parents in improving the memorization of the hijaiyah
letters. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive form, the instruments
used are interviews and documentation, the respondents in this study were 8 parents
who had children aged 4-5 years. The results of this study indicate that: 1.
Democratic Parenting is a type of parenting that is responsive and gives full
attention without restraining its freedom. Parents are flexible, responsive, and
willing to communicate. Children are given freedom but have a reference, 2.
Parenting The attitude of parents in permissive parenting usually gives full freedom
to children to behave according to what they want. Suggestions For those who must
pay attention to the parenting given to children and the impact will be large in the
lives of children in the future or even in their adulthood. Parents who give their
children too much freedom are expected to be more disciplined and warn their
children when they make mistakes. And it is expected to instill rules in their
children and better understand what their children want. So that children become
independent figures and do not depend on others for their lives, especially children
become more useful in the family and community environment.
