Abstract

The formulation of the problem from this research is that it is not known how the
reciprocal teaching model is and how the statistical learning ability of class XII IPA.1
students of SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh is not known. The purpose of this study was to
describe reciprocal teaching and the ability to study statistics for class XII IPA.1 students
of SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh. This type of research is a case study research with a
qualitative approach. The method used is the case study method. Case study research is
research in which researchers conduct in-depth exploration of programs, events,
processes, activities, to one or more people. The instruments used in this study were
observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of the interview were students
of class XII.IPA 1 SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh. While the sample in this study were 6
students out of 28 students with two categories of high ability, two medium ability and
two low ability. The stages designed in this study were: documenting student worksheets, preparing observations, interviewing students at SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh and
drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the
learning ability of students of class XII IPA 1 SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh through
reciprocal teaching is achieved and effective. it can be seen based on the results of the
student worksheet scores obtained.
