Abstract

This research is entitled "Application of the STAD Type Cooperative Learning
Model (Student Team Achievment Division) in the Sub-theme of National Events
Around the Proclamation of Independence to Improve Learning Outcomes of Fifth
Grade Students of SD Negeri Iboh, Seulimeum District". The purpose of this
research is to find out that the application of the STAD model can increase the
activity of teachers and students on the sub-theme of the nationality of the
proclamation of independence in the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Iboh,
Seulimeum District. To find out the STAD Type Cooperative Learning (Student
Team Achievement Division) model on the sub-theme of national events
surrounding the proclamation of independence can improve the learning
outcomes of Class V students of SD Negeri Iboh, Saulimeum District. The subjects
in this study were fifth grade students of the Iboh State Elementary School (SDN)
which opened 21 students. Data collection techniques using observation and tests.
Data analysis techniques using the percentage formula. The results showed that
the teacher's activities in managing learning in the first cycle of the first meeting
with a score of 2.6 categories of the second meeting 2.73 in the second cycle of
the first meeting collected 2.54 good categories of the second meeting to 2.72. this
shows the teacher's activity in managing learning increased from cycle I to cycle
II. Student activity during learning using the STAD model increased in each cycle,
namely, in the first cycle of meeting 1 was 2.54, the category of the second
meeting was 2.73, the second cycle of the first meeting was 3.9 good categories,
and the second meeting was 4.1 points. This shows that student learning activities
increase from each cycle. Student learning outcomes are in the first cycle, the first
meeting (one) the average value is 66.42, Completed is 52.33, Incomplete is
47.62. the first cycle of the first meeting reached 75.71 and the second meeting
was 76.90.
