ANALISIS PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENDAMPINGI BELAJAR ANAK DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI PAUD IBNU SINA ACEH BESAR

Abstract

The role of parents is the method used by parents with regard to the view of the tasks that
must be carried out in raising children. The role of parents in education is something that is
very important to determine the success of their children's education. The first and foremost
educators are parents. The formulation of the problem is: (1). What is the role of parents in
accompanying children during the COVID-19 pandemic? (2). What activities are parents
doing to stimulate their child's development during the COVID-19 pandemic? (3). What are
the obstacles faced by parents when providing learning to their children?. The objectives of
this research are: (1). To find out how the role of parents in accompanying children during
the COVID-19 pandemic. (2). To find out what activities parents are doing to stimulate their
child's development during the COVID-19 pandemic. (3). To find out what are the obstacles
faced by parents when providing learning to their children. The research method used in
this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were 4 parents of children.
The results of the study show that: 1. The role of parents in the importance of early
childhood education during the covid-19 pandemic is very important, where children
receive education which will continue to the elementary school level (SD), and children will
understand the basic learning provided by the teacher. when at school. 2. Activities carried
out by parents during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely by giving special attention to
children at home, giving different activities between one parent and another. 3. Obstacles
faced by parents when providing learning to children are sometimes children do not want to
learn, because the level of education of children is still unstable and also depends on the
ability of the children themselves.
