Abstract

Children's independence will be achieved if parents make efforts through various activities
that support developing children's independence. With parental parenting The child will
develop in his independence aspect. Parents should training in child independence early so
that children are not dependent on others. Formula The problem in this research is. How
parents play in shaping children's independence in Rukoh Lr. Banna Village and are there
obstacles faced by parents in forming child independence in Rukoh Lr. Banna Village. The
purpose of this research is. To find out the role of parents in shaping the independence of
children aged 5-6 years in Rukoh Village, Lr Banna, and to find out the obstacles faced by
parents in forming child independence in Rukoh Lr Banna Village. This research uses
qualitative approach that is descriptive, research conducted in August 2021. The subjects
of this study are parents, children, as many as 6 people. Data collected through
observation and interview. The results show that there are several Constraints. Respondent
1), busyness in working outside the home. So lack of Attention in educating their children.
Respondent 2), pity and lack of heart when I saw my son doing something on his own.
Parents don't give children. Doing activities by yourself. Respondent 3), lack of support
from the family in shaping the child's independence. There is no balance in forming
independence of the child.
