Abstract

The ability to speak is the ability to pronounce articulation sounds or say words to express,
state, convey thoughts, ideas, feelings to listeners. So to develop speaking skills, a method
that requires children to be actively involved is needed. In this case, the writer uses the
storytelling method. The aim is 1) to find out how to design science learning for group B
children at AL-Azhar Kindergarten Cairo Banda Aceh. 2) To find out how the science ability
in group B at AL-Azhar Kindergarten Cairo Banda Aceh To find out the obstacles faced by
teachers in teaching science to group B at AL-Azhar Kindergarten Kindergarten Cairo Banda
Aceh. This type of research is a qualitative analysis with interviews. Based on the results of
research that has been done on group B children in kindergarten. Al-Azhar Cairo Banda
Aceh regarding the analysis of children's scientific abilities, namely: in Al-Azhar Cairo
Banda Aceh Kindergarten, especially in group B, there are 25 children including 3 children
whose scientific abilities have not increased while 22 other children have increased in
developing children's scientific abilities. In general, the children's scientific ability at AlAzhar Kindergarten Cairo Banda Aceh is going well, and the children are able to carry out
scientific activities. Teachers use various media to support children's scientific abilities, the
use of media is adjusted to the abilities of each child. The obstacle that occurs in children
regarding children's scientific abilities at Al-Azhar Kindergarten Cairo Banda Aceh is that
there are still children who have not been able to do science learning. Thus, the treatment
carried out on children whose scientific abilities have not yet developed, the teacher gives
special attention, by adjusting learning that is suitable for children.
