Abstract

Analysis is the process of solving a complex problem into small parts so that it can be more
easily understood. Parenting is a pattern of interaction between parents and children, namely how
the attitude or behavior of parents when interacting with children, including how to apply rules to
teach values / norms, give attention and affection and show good attitudes and behavior so that
they are used as role models for their children. Emotional Social is a child's learning process in
adjusting to understanding the situation and feelings when interacting with people in their
environment which is obtained by listening, observing and imitating the things they see. With the
analysis of parenting patterns on the socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6 years in
the TNI-ad dormitory fort Sigli City, it is the key to the success of parents in applying their
parenting patterns to develop the social emotional aspects of children. The problem in this study
is how the parenting pattern of children aged 5-6 years in the TNI-AD Dormitory Benteng Kota
Sigli and how the impact of parenting on the socio-emotional development of children aged 5-6
years in the TNI-AD Dormitory Benteng Kota Sigli . The purpose of this study was to find out
how the parenting style of parents for children aged 5-6 years in the TNI-AD Dormitory Benteng
Sigli City and to find out how the impact of parenting patterns on the socio-emotional
development of children aged 5-6 years in the TNI Dormitory. -AD Sigli City Fort. This study
uses a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the research above, it is known that the
parenting pattern applied by 4 parents in the TNI-AD Dormitory of Benteng Kota Sigli differs
between one parent and another. There are parents who apply democratic parenting, authoritarian
parenting and also permissive parenting. Socio-emotional to 4 children also vary depending on
how the child gets parenting at home. It's just that children's social emotional problems are
affected by the parenting that children receive at home. There is a significant relationship
between parenting styles on the socio-emotional development of children in the TNI-AD
Dormitory, Benteng Kota Sigli.
