Abstract

Creativity is an important ability for early childhood. Thus, learning media are
needed to be able to increase children's creativity. The purpose of this study was to
increase children's creativity through the use of used materials in group B children
at TK IT Aneuk Meutuah Belia. This research is a classroom action research
conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were group B as many as 13 children.
Data collection techniques include observation during the action and
documentation of learning activities during class. Based on the results of this study,
it was explained that the use of used materials could increase the creativity of RA
Group B children in TK IT Aneuk Meutuah Belia. This can be proven through the
results of the achievement. Using used materials as learning media can increase
children's creativity. This can be proven through the results of the observation of the
assessment of children's creativity in the first cycle with the amount of acquisition
under the undeveloped category of 30% (4 children), the developing category of
40% (5 children), the developing category according to the expectations of 24% (3
children), and the category very well developed 7% (1 child). In the second cycle the
number of gains in the underdeveloped category was 11% (1 child), 22% started to
develop (3 children), the developing category was as expected by 44% (6 children),
and the very well developed category was 24% (3 children). Based on these data, it
can be concluded that the use of used materials can increase children's creativity.
