Abstract

Children's social emotional development is the child's sensitivity to understand the feelings of others when interacting in daily life. The level of interaction of children with other people starts from parents, siblings, playmates to the wider community. Emotional social skills are needed by every child to support other aspects of development. The formulation of the problem in this study is How to improve the social emotional skills of group A children at TK Tgk Chik Digogo, Padang Tiji District, Pidie Regency through clogging games? The aim is to find out an increase in social emotional development through clog games? This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The instrument used was an observation sheet, the total sample was 16 children and the data were analyzed using a percentage

formula. The results showed that in the description of the observation of children's activity in the first cycle, the total score obtained with the underdeveloped category was 44% (7

children), the category started to develop 38% (6 children), the category developed according to the expectations of 12% (2 children), and the category developed. very good 6% (1 child). Whereas in the second cycle for the undeveloped category 6% (1 child), 12.5% ​​starting to develop (2 children), the developing category according to expectations was 43.7% (7 children) the very well developed category was 37.5% ( 6 children). Based on these data it can be concluded that clogging games can improve children's social emotional because the game process involves children to work together.
