MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL KONSEP BILANGAN MELALUI KEGIATAN BERHITUNG MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA TUTUP BOTOL PADA ANAK KELOMPOK B-2 TK KARYAWAN KOTA BARU

The ability to recognize the concept of numbers needs to be introduced from an early age, where in
the early stages, children must be introduced to simple number concepts. Related to this, the ability
to recognize the concept of numbers for children in group B-2 in TK Karyawan Kota Baru has not
developed optimally. This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to recognize the
concept of numbers through counting activities using bottle cap media in group B-2 in TK
Karyawan Kota Baru. This study uses a classroom action research design by adopting the Kemmis
and MC Taggart models with four stages of action, namely planning, implementation/action,
observation and reflection. The number of subjects as many as 20 children, data collection was done
through observation and documentation. Data analysis with quantitative descriptive technique
percentage with success indicators as much as 80%. The results showed that (1) There was an
increase in numeracy skills through bottle cap media in group B-2 employees of Kindergarten
employees, namely the pre-cycle results only developed 20%, increased to 55% in the first cycle, in
the second cycle increased to 85% while exceeding The standard of student development that is set
is 80%. (2) The teacher's activity in learning to count using bottle cap media in the first cycle was
categorized as good with a score of 77.25%, increasing to very good in the second cycle with a score
of 98.25%. (3) Children's activities in learning to count using bottle cap media in the first cycle
were categorized as adequate with a score of 64%, increasing to very good in the second cycle with
a score of 88.25%. This study concludes that counting activities using bottle cap media can
improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in group B-2 TK Karyawan Baru Kota
Baru.
