Abstract

This research is entitled "Improving Civics Learning Outcomes Through Inquiry Learning
Methods for Fourth Grade Students at SD Negeri Kuta Rentang". The purpose of this paper is
to find out the application of the inquiry method can increase the activity of students and
teachers in Civics subjects for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Kuta Range. To find out
Inquiry Learning can improve PKN Learning Outcomes for Class IV Students at SDN Kuta
Rentang. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students at the State Elementary School
(SDN) Kuta. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. Data analysis techniques
using the percentage formula. The results showed that the average teacher activity in the first
cycle was 2.7. In the second cycle with an average value of 3.7 is in the very good category.
The average student activity in the first cycle with an average value of 2.37. The activity in the
second cycle showed that the average student activity was 3.37 categorized as very good. The
results of the cycle that it is known that the average value of PKN learning outcomes through
the Inquiry method for Class IV students is 69.37. This shows that the development of learning
outcomes is below the specified KKM, which is 70. The number of students who have
completed is 5 students with a percentage of 62.5%. While the students who did not complete
reached 3 students with a percentage of 37.5%. The highest score achieved by students at the
stage of cycle 1 is 85 and the lowest score is 35. The results of the second cycle are known that
the average value of learning outcomes for Class IV students in Civics learning is 76.25. This
shows that students' skills are already above the specified KKM, which is 70. The number of
students who have completed is 7 students with a percentage of 87.5%. While students who did
not complete reached 1 student with a percentage of 12.5%. The highest score achieved by
students in the second cycle stage was 90 and the lowest score was 45.
