Abstract

The reason I took the title of the thesis is Analysis of Code Switching and Code Mixing in the
Sale and Purchase Events at the Rimo Aceh Singkil Market, Rimo Week is the most
appropriate description to describe as a heterogeneous place. Rimo Market is the mother of
all markets in Aceh Singkil Regency. The problems raised in this study are, what is the form
of code switching and code mixing in buying and selling transactions at the Rimo Aceh
Singkil Market?, what are the functions of code switching and code mixing in buying and
selling transactions at the Rimo Aceh Singkil Market?. This study aims to describe the form of
code switching and code mixing in buying and selling transactions at the Rimo Aceh Singkil
Market. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The source of the data obtained is the

making buying and selling transactions. Methods of data collection researchers conducted
