ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE STYLE IN FIKAR W EDA'S “RENCONG” POETRY AND ITS RELEVANCE TO LITERATURE LEARNING IN CLASS XI SMA

Hendra Kasmi, M.Pd Language style is a way of expressing thoughts through language in a unique way that shows the soul and personality of the writer. Language style is an arrangement of words that occurs because of feelings that arise or live in the writer's heart, which creates a certain feeling in the reader's heart. The formulation of the problem in this study is 1. What is the form of language style used in Fikar W Eda's poem “Rencong” 2. How is the relevance of Fikar W Eda's poetry to poetry literature learning in high school. The aims of this study are 1. To describe the form of figurative language contained in the poem by Fikar W Eda "Rencong".2. To find out the relevance of Fikar W Eda's poetry to poetry literature learning in high school. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are in the form of words and sentences contained in the poem by Fikar W Eda in the book Rencong. The source of the data in this research is the poetry of Fikar W Eda in the book Rencong. The results of data analysis in Fikar W Eda's poems are dominated by comparative language styles, namely, parable language styles, for example, "The silver tapestry of the human land", Personification style, for example, "Greetings to the sky we uphold" Metaphorical style, for example, "Orphan's screams fill the horizon". From the results of the research conducted by the researchers, it was found that the poetry of the Rencong book which contains 22 poems in it is represented by a comparative language style.
