Abstract

Musical intelligence is the ability to handle musical forms, by perceiving (music lovers), differentiating (music critics), changing (composer), expressing (singing), this intelligence includes sensitivity to the rhythm, pitch patterns in melodies, and tone of colors or the sound color of a song. Problem formulation in this research are (1) What is the description of musical abilities in group B children in Cut Meutia Kindergarten?, (2) What are the types of musical activities in group B children in Cut Meutia Kindergarten ?, (3) What are the obstacles faced by teachers in stimulating musical abilities in group B children in Cut Meutia Kindergarten ?, and (4) What are the supporting factors for the achievement of musical abilities in group B children in Cut Muetia Banda Aceh Kindergarten? The purpose of this research is to find out (1) a description of musical abilities in group B children in Cut Meutia kindergarten, (2) types of musical activities in group B children in Cut Meutia kindergarten, (3) obstacles faced by teachers in stimulating musical abilities in group B children in Cut Meutia Kindergarten and, (4) supporting factors for the achievement of musical abilities in group B children in Cut Meutia Kindergarten in Banda Aceh. The research method is qualitative research using interview instruments and documentation. While the data analysis uses the Data Reduction stage, the data model (Data Display) and drawing conclusions (Verification). The results showed that the application of the musical abilities of group B children in terms of singing had developed very well (BSB). While humming, playing a musical instrument, playing a musical instrument with the right attitude, and imitating a rhythm or song using a musical instrument is still said to be undeveloped. types of musical activities in group B children are singing, gymnastics, dancing, movements and songs, and making musical instruments from used goods. The obstacles faced by teachers are limited musical instruments, lack of experience and understanding of teachers in playing musical instruments, difficulty managing children who are too active and shy. And supporting factors in developing musical abilities are through singing, gymnastics, dancing, movements and songs, and making musical instruments from used goods.
