Abstract

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of children in group B2 TK Pertiwi Lhoknga. And the performance of teachers to be professional, can also improve learning outcomes and can develop teacher skills. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation and interviews, which are then analyzed starting from observation, action planning to reflection on the action. The results showed that the oral test showed that the average score of the children's final observation (posttest) was better than the average score of the initial observation (pretest). The final observation got an average value of 83.5, while the initial observation got an average value of 27.5. This shows that the scientific learning model can improve children's critical thinking skills in science learning in group B2 at Pertiwi Lhoknga Kindergarten and the results of the observational study show that the average pre-action score is 13 children's weight (65%), 5 children's MB (25%) ), BSH 2 children (10%), and BSB 0 children (0%). The average results in the first cycle showed that the weight of 2 children (12%), MB 7 children (35%), BSH 6 children (32%), and BSB 4 children (20%). While the results in the second cycle obtained an average weight of 0 children (0%), MB 1 child (6%), BSH 2 children (10%), and BSB 17 children (84%). The results of this study indicate that learning science through scientific learning models can improve critical thinking skills of children in the B2 group of Pertiwi Lhoknga Kindergarten with floating and sinking eggs as objects.
