Abstract

ABSTRACT

In editorial text learning, the teacher acts as a facilitator who provides learning materials and knowledge about editorial texts. Learning editorial texts will be carried out well if there is good cooperation between teachers and students. Based on preliminary observations, there are several obstacles faced in the editorial text learning process, including the learning model used by the teacher is monotonous, which is dominated by the teacher, so that students become less active, bored, the teacher's teaching method is less attractive, the teacher only explains and gives assignments, and the learning outcomes of students become less than optimal. The formulation of the problem in this study is: Is the use of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model effective in Editorial Text Learning in class XII MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam Aceh Besar?. This study aims: to determine the effectiveness of Editorial Text Learning Using Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in class XII MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam Aceh Besar. The research method used is experimental research with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The sample in this study were students of class XII MIA 1, amounting to 27 students. The instrument in this study was a pre-test and a post-test. The results indicated that based on the t-test hypothesis testing, it was obtained > that is 11 > 1.70, this means that t is in the rejection area of ​​H0 so that Ha can be accepted at the significance level = 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Numbered Head Together cooperative learning model is effective in Editorial Text Learning in class XII MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam Aceh Besar.
