Abstract

Learning media is a tool to help educators convey information to students. Power point is a media that is often found and is often used on various occasions, whether in presentations, seminars or learning processes. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of Power Point media to improve numeracy skills in grade 2 students at SDN 69 Banda Aceh. This research is experimental research with the approach used in this research being descriptive quantitative. The research design used in this research is a pre-experimental design, while the form of the design is "one group pretest-posttest design" namely the research only uses one experimental class without a comparison class or control class. The stages carried out by researchers are: 1). Initial stage (pre-test), 2). Treatment (treatment), 3). Final stage (post-test). This research activity was carried out at SD Negeri 69 Banda Aceh City class II with a total of 25 students. The results of this research can be seen based on hypothesis testing with degrees of freedom (dk= n -1 = 25-1=24) and the significant value is α = 0.05. For this calculation ttable is 1.69 based on what has been determined by the rules for accepting the hypothesis, if tcount > ttable then Ha from the calculation above that tcount (11,67> 1.71). The statement shows that Ha accepts, therefore there is a difference in the results of the initial test and the final test which shows that there is an influence of Power Point media to improve the ability to learn to count in lower class students.
