PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN KOMIK STRIP UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA DALAM MATERI CERITA NARASI/IMAJINASI PADA SISWA KELAS VII DI UPTD SPF SMP NEGERI 1 SIMPANG KANAN

This research aims to find out the process of developing comic strip learning media to improve narrative story speaking skills and how appropriate the comic strip learning media is in improving the retelling skills of class VII UPTD SPF students at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Kanan. The research design used in this research is development research or Resource and Development (R&D) using the Brog & Gall procedure. R&D research is research used to produce certain products and test the results of the product's suitability. The research results were obtained from the validator results and student responses. The results of this research are the overall results of the media expert validator's assessment which was calculated using a percentage formula which obtained a score of 86.3% with the criteria "strongly agree". The overall results of the material expert validator assessment were calculated using a percentage formula to obtain a score of 89.3% with the criteria "strongly agree". The response results obtained from 18 students obtained a percentage score of 91% with the criteria "very appropriate" by filling in the response questionnaire given by the researcher. The negative percentage value obtained from student responses was 9%. It can be concluded that based on the validator results from media experts, materials and student responses, the development of comic strip learning media for Class VII students at UPTD SPF SMPN 1 Simpang Kanan is very feasible to develop.
