Abstract

The Effect of Using the Sillabic Method on Improving the Writing Skills of Grade 1 Students at SD Negeri 57 Banda Aceh. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education, Bina Bangsa University Getsempena. Writing is a teaching and learning activity to improve initial writing skills in the early grades for children who have just entered school. In the early stages of children entering school in class I MI/SD, writing is the main menu or the first step that must be taught to children. This research approach was carried out quantitatively with the type of pre-experimental research. with a one-group pre-test-post-test design using the Sillabic Method. This research was conducted on grade 1 students of SD Negeri 57 Banda Aceh. Data collection was carried out by observation and the initial test was carried out before treatment and the final test was carried out after the use of the Syllabic Method in a predetermined class. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of using the syllabic method on improving the writing skills of grade 1 students at SD Negeri 57 Banda Aceh. Based on the results of the initial observations, the average value was 5.63 and the standard deviation value was 31,137 while the standard deviation value was 176. Meanwhile, the average value obtained was 7.56 and the standard deviation value was 109,810, while the deviation value the standard obtained is 331. The obtained hypothesis count is 4,915 > 1,699 and the significance level is 0,000 <0.05. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of the Syllabic Method has an effect on improving writing skills in class I students at SDN 57 Banda Aceh.
