EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA FILM PENDEK TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERITA PENDEK DI SMA NEGERI 1 KRUENG BARONA JAYA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using short film media on the writing skills of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. This type of research is a pre-experimental and One Group Pretest Posttest design. The samples taken were 21 students of class XI MIA-2. Data was collected using observation, tests, and interviews. The instruments used include student activity observation sheets, short story writing skill tests, and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques used the dependent sample t test for test data, the gain formula for N-gain data, the proportion formula for observation data, and descriptive data for interviews. The research results obtained 1) the activities of students during learning at meeting I can be obtained an average of the activities played in the good category of 68% and 74%; 2) The results of the hypothesis test obtained the calculated value of sig. <0.05 which means there is a difference in short story writing skills after using short film media, and the average N-gain value obtained is 0.31 in the sufficient category; 3) The results of interviews obtained by short film media are media that have just been used in short story writing material, the use of short film media provides benefits for students, the obstacles that have been experienced are technical constraints related to the use of audio-visual learning media, and through the use of short film media can provide an interesting atmosphere and help students understand the concept of writing short stories. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of short film media is effectively applied to short story writing skills.
