Abstract

Geogebra can be used as a medium for learning mathematics to demonstrate or visualize mathematical concepts as well as a tool for constructing mathematical concepts. Nanang (2015. This is in line with Lavicza's research (2017) which proves that research shows that Geogebra can encourage students' discovery and experimentation processes in class. Its visualization features can effectively assist students in proposing various mathematical conjectures and trying to improve students' interest in learning.. This type of research is quantitative, the method used in this method is the True method of experimental design. The research design is two class pre-test post-test design. The research subjects in this study were class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh, totaling 31 people for the experimental class and 30 people for the control class. From the research conducted by researchers at SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh, the results of the research on the posttest data were: with a value of Range (R) = 55, many class intervals (K ) = 6 and class length (P) = 9, with a posttest average value = 57.0 1 and the standard deviation is SD = 14.99. Based on the results of x2count = 49.0087 with many class intervals K = 6, at a significant level with degrees of freedom (dk) = (k-3) →(6-3 = 3), then from the chi square table it is obtained x2(0.975) (3) = 3.182, can be written x2count ≥ x2table, namely 49.0087 ≥ 3.182 Ha is accepted, the conclusion is that the testing criteria after carrying out treatment (treatment) of learning media using geogebra on SPLDV material can increase students' interest in learning in class VIII, from the final observation data is normally distributed.
