Abstract

Education in Indonesia has a strategic position for the progress of the nation, particularly in relation to the availability of quality human resources. School is a place where the process of learning and teaching takes place. The teacher is a teaching facilitator needed by students in education. In an effort to achieve national education goals, the teacher chooses the right teaching method and implements it in accordance with the procedure, it is expected that students can accept and understand well what is being taught by the teacher. This development research is R&D Research & Development research with descriptive quantitative research. The purpose of this development research is to improve the learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SDN 24 Banda Aceh through the field trip method using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model. This development was obtained from the observation of the initial and final data to see the level of success of students in learning science material on the development and growth of plants. The results of increasing learning data through the field trip method were carried out well and above the KKM score of 94.1. Based on these data, the level of validity was obtained through the media expert instrument data with a score of 5.5 very valid categories and the linguist instrument data obtained 5.3 very valid categories. The percentage of the value of student learning outcomes is obtained from the value of student learning outcomes through practical instruments, namely 70% in the practical and developed category. Learning outcomes through the evaluation of science learning obtained 94% with a very improved category.
