PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS LAPORAN HASIL OBSERVASI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE FIELD TRIP SISWA KELAS X MIPA 1 SMA NEGERI 1 DARUL IMARAH

Abstract

The background of this research is that the ability of class X MIPA 1 students in writing report texts from observations is still low. Efforts to improve it, then used the field trip method. The aim of the study was to describe the increase in students' skills in writing report texts on the results of observations after using the field trip method. The type of research used was classroom action research which consisted of two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Data collection techniques through tests of student learning outcomes and observation of student and teacher data, which were analyzed qualitatively. Subjects in this study consisted of 30 students. The results showed that the improvement of students' observation report writing ability can be done using the field trip method. The results of the first cycle test obtained an average score of 62.69 in the sufficient category while the second cycle obtained an average value of 82.29. so, from cycle I to cycle II there was an increase. And from these results it can be concluded that the field trip method in learning can improve the results of the skills of writing report texts on observations in class X MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Darul Imarah.
