PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS ANEKDOT MELALUI METODE DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 11 ACEH BARAT DAYA

This study aims to determine the increase in the results of writing anecdotal texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 11 Aceh Barat Daya by using discovery learning methods. This research uses a type of classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were 32 students. Collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, tests and documentation. Based on the results of the research, it can be seen that the quality of learning to write anecdotal texts has increased by using the discovery learning method. This can be seen from the average score of writing anecdotes before being given action was 64.53, after being given action at the end of cycle I the average score was 75.58. The average score for writing anecdotes at the end of cycle II was 85.00. This shows an increase of 20.47 points. Overall, at the end of cycle II, all aspects and criteria for writing anecdotes experienced a significant increase.
