STUDENT AND TEACHER OBSTACLE DURING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE LEARNING MODEL IN SMA NEGERI 3 BANDA ACEH

Abstrak

This research focused on analyzing the student and teacher obstacle during the implementation of online learning model in SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. The purpose of this study was to categorize the student and teacher obstacle during the implementation of online learning model in SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. The researcher used descriptive quantitative research as the method in this study. The questionnaire and intervew were used as the instrument. The result showed that students’ obstacles during the implementation of online learning model were; first, the connection problem that made the teacher’s voice was not heard by the teacher. Second, the wall of the meeting often dissappear. So, it is hard to be understood by the students. In addition, the other obstacles faced by the students were the students did not understand about the learning material explained by the teacher especially math and chemistry. The last, the students get bored easily because there was no interaction between the teacher and students directly. The way the students deal with the problem were buying internet package in huge number or going to another place where the internet connection is better or asking hotspot for other students, sometimes the school also provided internet package or coming to the school to get the signal, and the student learnt the learning material from youtube, therefore, it made the student more understand about the lesson. Meanwhile, the teachers also faced obstacle during the implementation of learning model. The obstacle was the internet connection problem. The way the teacher deal with it was the teacher did personal chat with the students asking about their problem and send the learning material by personal chat. The other way was substitute it by sending the learning videos as well as the learning material and assignments, then the students will submit it to the teacher’s email.
