Pengaruh Motivasi Orang Tua Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Alafan

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the effect of parental motivation on mathematics learning
achievement of students of SMP Negeri 1 Alafan. This study uses a quantitative approach, with
the type of associative research, associative research is research that is intended to determine the
relationship between two or more variables. In this associative research, there are independent
variables (variables that affect) and dependent variables (variables that are affected). The population
in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 1 Alafan, the sample in this study used students of
class VIII with a total of 25 students. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression
analysis and the X and Y relationship test, with the independent variable of parents' motivation
and the dependent variable of student achievement. Based on the results of research with simple
linear regression analysis, it is obtained a simple linear regression equation, namely: Y = 76.5118
+ 0.023 X, this indicates that the coefficient of b is positive so that it shows the change in X in the
same direction as the change in Y and the X and Y relationship test with the test results obtained
value tcount> ttable (2.1220> 0.381). Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant or
positive influence between parents' motivation on student mathematics achievement

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi orang tua terhadap prestasi
belajar matematika siswa SMP Negeri 1 Alafan.Penelitianinimenggunakan pendekatan
kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif, penelitian asosiatif merupakan penelitian
yang dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan dua variabel atau lebih.Dalam
penelitian asosiatif ini terdapat variabel independen (variabel yang mempengaruhi) dan
variabel dependen (variabel yang dipengaruhi).Populasidalampenelitianiniadalahseluruh
siswa SMP Negeri 1 Alafan, sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan siswa kelasVIII
dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear
sederhana dan uji hubungan X dan Y, denganvariabel bebas motivasi orang tua dan
variabel terikat prestasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan analisis regresi
linear sederhana diperoleh persamaan regresi linear sederhana yaitu: Y = 76,5118 + 0,023
X, ini menunjukkan bahwa koefisien b positif sehingga menunjukkan perubahan X searah
dengan perubahan Y dan uji hubungan X dan Y dengan hasil pengujian di peroleh nilai
t hitung > t tabel (2,1220 > 0,381). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat
pengaruh signifikan atau positif antara motivasi orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar
matematika siswa.
